Objective:
The project shall be based on a biological question which can be answered using already-existing or in-house bioinformatics tools. A list of suggested topics is available below but you may also choose your own, subject to approval.
Project Topics:
The IOIB offers various R&D projects in the area of bioinformatics leading towards product and process development specific to the following areas.

1). Development of databases related to plants Proteome & analysis data.
2). Development of database of abiotic stresses tolerance.
3). Development of databases related to Drug Designing.
4). Development of clinical information databases of different diseases.

6). Development of database of medicinal plnat information.
Software Development
1). Development of new software tools for genomic, proteomics, sequence analysis, protein networks, pattern & motif finding, gene prediction & related applications.
2). Development of tools for analysis of abiotic stresses tolerance protein.
3). Development web tool for sequenece manipulation.
Research Analysis:
1). Comparative Genomics and annotation of Prokaryotes,Eukaryotes and plants.
2). Development of database of abiotic stresses tolerance.
3). Analysis of system biology through Bioinformatics tools.
4). Identifing protein structure and disease through Bioinformatics tools.
5). Identification of key pathways of the protein in disease.
6). Protein Analysis of abiotic stresses through bioinformatics.
7). Protein Networks of abiotic stresses tolerance protein through bioinformatics.
8). Analysis of antioxidant of abiotic stresses in different Species.
In-silico Drug Discovery
1). Projects related to modeling, drug design using Bioinformatics tools and databases.
2). Effort for virtual screening of chemical libraries with important targets from major Diseases.
3). Molecular modeling and Docking by bioinformatics tools.
